Join us for a Night Nature Hike at Rock River Heritage County Park with David Bendlin! This is the peak time of the year to see bats, glow-worms and fireflies, and hear the calls of owls in the woods and the frogs, toads and night birds of the river and marsh.
For this night hike, participants should wear light colored clothing appropriate for the forecasted temperatures and have some form of insect repellent handy, but no flashlights, please. We will meet at Heritage Hall.
This trip is free and open to the public, however, participation is limited to 30 participants, so be sure to reserve your spot by reaching out to Amy Friend, Parks Community Coordinator. Reservations will begin on Monday, June 15th at 7 a.m. To secure your place, you can either email Amy at [email protected] or call 608-757-5473 starting on June 15th.
