Families from our parish spend time making the Hebrew culture come alive as our field turns into the town of Bethlehem during the time of Jesus’ birth. Join us in booths containing spices and libations, pottery, kosher meats, vegetables and oils, carpentry, candle making, basket weaving, a Hebrew school, the Bishop’s winery, a bakery, Old Testament History, check in at the census table, and visit the Inn.
The streets of Bethlehem are covered with dancers, musicians, the people of Bethlehem, star gazers, angels and shepherds, and guarded by soldiers.
Kids can visit the village and take part in activities to learn a bit about how Jesus would grow up, and grown-ups have culture and interaction with a touch of the salvation story. Costumes welcome :)
The Christmas story will be told each night beginning at 7:30pm in the town square. Some seating available. A blanket is recommended as we will be outdoors!
