Corals' Last Stand – Can Scott Reef be saved?The award winning documentary - Corals' Last Stand - by WA filmmaker Jane Hammond is being screened at the next Night Chats at Lake Claremont. The film follows a dozen marine scientists, conservationists and artists including novelist Tim Winton and musician John Butler as they voyage off the West Australian coast to Scott Reef, one of Australia’s most spectacular coral reefs, to document the threats posed by Woodside’s Browse gas proposal.
Greta Carroll from the Conservation Council of WA will be leading the discussion after the film about the campaign to save this amazing place from destruction. Don’t miss it!
Night Chats will be held on Tuesday 19th August at Claremont Lawn Tennis Club, on Shenton Place in Claremont. Doors open at 5:30 pm for refreshments, with a 6:00 PM start. No bookings are required, but a gold coin donation is appreciated. Everyone is welcome.
