Nieuwe inzichten en OFC-TMS Practical Workshop

De nascholing duurt 4 uur en wordt verzorgd op onze neurocare locatie in Nijmegen van 10:30- 15:00 (inclusief lunch). Tijdens de nascholing worden theorie en praktijk afgewisseld. The workshop can also be provided in English for English speaking participants

Uit onderzoek blijkt dat zo’n 30% van de patiënten met depressie alsnog respons laat zien op OFC-TMS na non-respons op de reguliere evidence-based rTMS protocollen (Feffer ea 2018). De OFC-TMS behandeling kan worden toegediend met dezelfde apparatuur (inclusief spoel) als reeds voorhanden voor de reguliere rTMS protocollen.

Doelstellingen:

• Scherpstellen en uitbreiden van rTMS vaardigheden en kennis
• Laatste inzichten mbt evidence-based rTMS protocollen tav depressie & OCD.
• Theoretische achtergrond, laatste ontwikkelingen en toepassen van OFC-TMS in de klinische praktijk
• Bespreken casuïstiek en het toetsen van de uitvoer van evidence-based rTMS behandelingen.

Verzorgd door gecertificeerde trainer(s). Accreditatie is toegekend door Stichting Hersenstimulatie.
Ingangseisen: in principe is deze nascholing bedoeld voor mensen met een registratie als rTMS Technician of rTMS Professional. Neem contact op met ons om eventuele uitzonderingssituaties te bespreken.

The refresher training lasts 4 hours and is provided at our Neurocare location in Nijmegen from 10:30–15:00 (including lunch). During the training, theory and practice are alternated. The workshop can also be provided in English for English-speaking participants.

Research shows that approximately 30% of patients with depression still show a response to OFC-TMS after non-response to regular evidence-based rTMS protocols (Feffer et al., 2018). OFC-TMS treatment can be administered using the same equipment (including the coil) that is already available for standard rTMS protocols.

Objectives:

• Refining and expanding rTMS skills and knowledge
• Latest insights into evidence-based rTMS protocols for depression and OCD
• Theoretical background, latest developments, and application of OFC-TMS in clinical practice
• Discussion of clinical cases and evaluation of the implementation of evidence-based rTMS treatments

Provided by certified trainer(s). Accreditation has been granted by the Foundation for Brain Stimulation (Stichting Hersenstimulatie).
Entry requirements: In principle, this refresher training is intended for individuals registered as an rTMS Technician or rTMS Professional. Please contact us to discuss any exceptional cases.
