Nick Payne's Constellations explores the infinite possibilities of a relationship between Marianne, a physicist, and Roland, a beekeeper, using concepts from quantum physics, particularly the multiverse theory, to show how small choices create different realities, ultimately examining fate, free will, love, and loss through various timelines of their shared lives, including illness and death. "Constellations" features two remarkable characters, Marianne and Roland, portrayed by Shannon Elias and Sean Patrick (both seen in last season’s popular production of ALMOST MAINE), who navigate the complexities of their relationship in a beautifully crafted narrative. Payne’s thought-provoking script explores the infinite possibilities of romance and the impact of choices in our lives.
The performance is directed by Carrie J Cole, known for directing the sold-out, critically praised production of WHAT THE CONSTITUTION MEANS TO ME.
