Nick Fraser: Chapter II - A Rare One-Day Exhibition of Unseen East End Art
About this Event
Nick Fraser: Chapter II is a rare one-day exhibition revealing the next stage in the rediscovery of East End artist Nick Fraser, an artist whose work carries an extraordinary emotional force, visual imagination and deeply personal story.
For decades, Nick painted from a private world of memory, identity, masculinity, spirituality and lived experience. His artworks are bold, intimate, instinctive and often charged with a raw emotional language that feels both deeply personal and universal. Chapter II brings together selected original paintings, archive material and the story behind an artist whose work is only now beginning to receive the attention it deserves.
This exhibition offers visitors a rare opportunity to encounter a collection of Nick Fraser artworks that have never been publicly seen before. It is a chance to step inside the life, friendship, struggle and creative world behind the paintings, and to witness an important East End artistic legacy being brought into the light.
For the first time, the public will also have access to a limited release of Nick Fraser prints, alongside the opportunity to enquire about original works from the estate. For collectors, art lovers, supporters of outsider and self-taught art, and anyone moved by stories of hidden creativity, this is a significant moment.
Chapter II is not simply an exhibition. It is the continuation of a promise: to preserve Nick Fraser’s work, protect his story, and share his artistic voice with the wider world.
