☂️Join Us for the Nichols Center's 11th Annual Overdose Awareness Day☂️We warmly invite you to join us for the Nichols Center's 11th Annual Overdose Awareness Day on Sunday, August 31st, from 2 - 6 PM at the Cultural Arts Center in Douglasville, GA. Every year, we gather to honor International Overdose Awareness Day and support family healing. It's a heartfelt occasion for remembrance, hope, and community.
🎨Call to Artists: "Purple Umbrella - I Would Stand in Your Storm"☔️
We're also reaching out to all talented artists! We're seeking original works inspired by the theme "Purple Umbrella - I Would Stand in Your Storm." This initiative aims to honor those we've lost to mental health or substance overdose and to foster healing for their families.
We're looking for diverse artistic expressions, including visual art, sculpture, mixed media, photography, or installations, that reflect the courage to stand with others through life's storms. Your art can be a powerful beacon of hope, healing, and remembrance, helping to break the stigma surrounding substance use.
