NF Fighter Pickleball Matches

NF refers to a series of rare neurological disorders that causes patients to experience the growth of benign tumors on nerves throughout the body. In the case of my particular form of NF-NF2 Related Schwannomatosis- the tumors cause a wide range of neurologcial issues such as hearing loss, balance issues, difficulty speaking and swallowing, facial paralysis and many others. There is at present no cure for NF. We are on a mission to change that.

When it comes to coping to NF and what it's done to me I have found that one of the best ways is to move my body. I started playing pickleball a few years ago and very quickly fell in love with it. I decided why not that passion to as a way to make NF more visible? Plus as author and speaker Jon Gordon points out "The secret to a happy life is playing lots of pickleball."

Last year we hosted our inagural tournament and laid the ground work for what I have doubt will become a major event. We will again offer two divisions. The "Cocktail Division" for those of you are newer to the game and the "Electrolyte Division" for those of you are a little farther along in your pickleball journey. There will be prizes for the winner of both divisions. The winner of the Electrolyte Division will again take home the coveted Cure NF Cup. Much like it's esteemed fellow trophies The Stanley Cup and The Claret Jug the winner only gets to keep it for a year, but it will obviosuly be the greatest year of their life. At the conclusion of their reign as champions the names of the winners will be added to the Cure NF Cups base where they will remain etched in history forever.

Cost is $70 per player (We sell them as a pair for $140 to make sure both you and your partner are registered)

Entry fee inclues:

-Court time

-A $25 Chicken N Pickle gift card

-Two drink coupons

Please feel free to come up with a catchy team name, and I don't care if it's a little innapropriate so feel free to push the envelope.

This event is family friendly so don't be afraid to bring along friends and family to take part in the festivities. (Hope they aren't offended by any of the team names hehe)

In addition to some badass pickleball there will be 50/50 drawing and silent auction items. Stick around afterwards and we will keep the party going as long as possible!
