In this session, students will learn how to bring stained glass into the third dimension using came, stick, or mixed media to create a dimensional wall artwork with a sculptural or whimsical twist.
Objectives:
Design and construct a freeform or multi-dimensional piece
How to Integrate wire, bevels, glass nuggets, or found objects
Learn structural techniques for strength and balance
Experiment with creative assembly methods and “twisted” interpretations
Project Idea: A sculptural glass form—abstract, botanical, or architectural—with a structural copper foil/came component (the twist).
