Next Generation Officiating Seminar - Roanoke 2026

The NCAA women’s basketball officiating program, in conjunction with Roanoke College and onsite of the NCAA Division III Women’s Basketball Championship, will conduct a “Next Generation Officiating Seminar” event designed to promote the benefits and positive impact officiating has within the athletic community. We encourage local area officials who are new/newer to officiating, studentathletes interested in learning about becoming an official, collegiate and college students currently participating in intramurals or are officiating intramurals, that are looking to take the next steps into officiating to participate in this event and learn more about “officiating at your best” or how to get started.

Space is very limited. Registration is on a first come, first served basis.

• Opening remarks from the NCAA Division III Women’s Basketball National Coordinator of Officials, Donnie Souders.
• Tips on what collegiate conference coordinators look for in officials – ODAC Conference Coordinator, Vickie Van Kleeck.
• Skills and learning topics by championship officials working at the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championship at Roanoke College (March 19 & 21).
• Opportunity to socialize with speakers and Q&A.
• Light refreshments.
• Special group ticket price purchase for anyone wanting to attend the national championship game at 4 p.m. Eastern time following the clinic.

• High school officials and college officials with fewer than three (3) years' experience at the NCAA level
• Youth, intramural, recreational and AAU officials.
• Current collegiate student-athletes with an interest in becoming an official.
