Next Door Repair Week: Hackney Workshops!

Join us for a series of FREE hands-on mending workshops to celebrate and promote repair culture in Hackney! We invite you to pick up new skills, meet new people, and shape a more sustainable future for our community.

Plus, we’re developing the Hackney Repair Map—a digital platform that connects you with local repair services and mending magic across the area. Your feedback will help create this tool!

What to Expect:

• Hands-on workshops: Learn repair techniques like sashiko stitching, leather repair, darning, and appliqué, all in a fun, laid-back setting.

• Small groups: With just 8 spots per workshop, you’ll get plenty of attention and time to refine those new skills.

• Community vibes: Get involved, share your thoughts, and help us develop the Hackney Repair Map—a digital tool to connect people, repair skills, and services in our area.

• Sustainability in action: Be part of the growing movement to reduce waste, extend the life of your clothes, and build a more sustainable community!

• Sashiko Stitching with Madeline Tanota, Mads Do And Mend
  November 6th, Wednesday | 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM
  Priority for ages 16-20.

• Leather Repair with Nick Eisa, A State of Nature
  November 7th, Thursday | 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM

• Darning I with Skye Pennant, Slow Stitch Club
  November 8th, Friday | 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM

• Darning II with Skye Pennant, Slow Stitch Club
  November 9th, Saturday | 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM

• Appliqué with Sashiko with Madeline Tanota, Mads Do And Mend
  November 10th, Sunday | 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM
