About this Event

Welcome to the Newtown History Trolly Tour!

Our 2025 Newtown Heritage Festival trolley tour will celebrate the nation’s 250th anniversary by covering Revolutionary War Veterans from town! Believe it or not, we already had soldiers fighting for independence a quarter millennium ago, and our executive director Byron Smith will cover a dozen of them!

Departing from the Newtown History Center (5408 Main Street), we will go to the homes of several different soldiers in the war, including one who dies at Valley Forge. We'll also visit the Old Town Cemetery, where several veterans and the town's founders are buried.
