This listening session at Tandem Coffee & Wine in East Sacramento will focus on the Sacramento-region education topics most closely affecting you and your loved ones.
What can you expect from our time together? Abridged by PBS KVIE is excited to gather for an evening of intimate, rotating group discussions and refreshments. We intend to listen. A story won’t be written about the event and names won’t be published.
Join us, build community with fellow parents and caregivers, and help shape the future of education coverage in the Sacramento region. And go home with a free Abridged tote bag to remember our evening together!
Discussion facilitators will rotate between groups during the event, asking the following questions:
- What's something about the Sacramento region's education landscape that worries you or keeps you up at night?
- What do you want to know more about in education?
- Where do you get information about your child's education? What's missing?
- What school or parenting decisions are you and your loved ones facing this school year?
Come hungry! Doors open at 6 p.m., and food and drinks will be available for purchase at Tandem. Abridged partners with local businesses for this series because we believe they are vital to the health of our community. While sharing this space at Tandem, we encourage you to support their business and the stellar team that hosts us.
Menu items range from small plates to baked goods. The drink list includes a variety of hot and cold coffees, teas, wine and nonalcoholic beverages. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options available.
