Newburn Archers Beginners Course

This course is a four week archery beginners course to learn the basics and safety requirements. We are an ArcheryGB registered club so completion of this course will allow you to join our club or any other registered club (subject to space). Equipment will be provided for you.

The course will take place outside on the field at Newburn Activity Centre and led by our club coaches. Please arrive to the first session 15 minutes early so we can have a safety briefing.

Within your ticket purchase, you will be asked for certain details about the participant. Please fill these out accurately as it helps us organise the correct equipment ahead of the course. Without the information, we cannot guarentee your place on this course.

FAQs

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

The minimum age for this course is 9 and there is no maximum age. Any Juniors (under 18) who are attending the course must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

What are the timings for the event?

5:30-7pm every Friday in August 2026.

What happens is it's raining or there is bad weather?

As this course takes place outdoors, we cannot guarantee the weather. In the unfortunate event where the weather is not safe to shoot, all participants will be informed and the coaches will discuss an extra course date.

I can't make all of the sessions, can I still attend?

Our minimum requirement to pass the course is 3 of the 4 sessions, but it is up to the coaches discretion as to if you need top up sessions before you can pass the course.
