About this Event
On behalf of the New York State Community Commission on Reparations Remedies (NYSCCRR), you are invited to participate in a community workshop focused on examining the history and impact of slavery and discrimination in New York and helping shape what comes next.
Who: Open to the public
What: Community workshop with an overview of the NY State Community Commission on Reparations Remedies, small group discussions, and opportunity for input
Why: To learn how this initiative could affect communities across the state and share perspectives that may influence the Commission’s final report
Where: The African Cultural Center 108 Old South Plank Road, Newburgh, NY 12550
- Sessions: 5:00-6:30 PM or 7:00-8:30 PM.
