Newborns in Need - Quarterly Volunteer Event

One-third of all babies in Denver are born at Denver Health. 90% of them come from families who struggle to get by. Your selfless volunteer time & donations to Newborns in Need give all children born at Denver Health a healthy start in life by providing essentials that help them grow strong!

Their parents are often the frontline and backroom workers who are essential to the services we depend upon each day. In Denver, 24,000 children live in working families that earn less than the federal poverty rate, while 41,000 children have no parent with full-time, year-round employment.

During this unique volunteer event, we will assemble care packages for these deserving families to go home with upon the birth of their child at Denver Health.

Volunteer Application: Prior to your event, please signup and fill out a volunteer application with Denver Health Volunteer Services' BetterImpact website - https://app.betterimpact.com/Application?OrganizationGuid=1c290b3a-a62f-43c6-8306-a8d6edba261d&ApplicationFormNumber=2

Location: Once all volunteers have arrived in the lobby of Pavilion M, 723 Delaware St. (located at the NW corner of 7th & Delaware), we will be escorted upstairs to the volunteer workroom.
Parking: There is a small lot in front of Pavilion M, lots of street parking, and parking in the Delaware Parking garage - which is located on the northeast corner of 6th & Delaware.
Volunteers: Min of 4, max of 12 (must be age 6 or older - accompanied by parent)
Masks: Requested but not required during the volunteer session.

Denver Health’s Newborns in Need provides you with two ways to make a difference: through in-kind donations of goods for infants and financial contributions that go directly toward the purchase of needed supplies.

• Girl & Boy onesies (3 month size)
• Girl & Boy sleepers (3 month size)
• Receiving blankets, bibs, and burp cloths
• Hooded towels, socks, & infant toys / stuffed animals

Donations can be dropped off M - F, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm in Pavillion C, 790 Delaware, in the Volunteer Zone, which is located on the 1st floor. Amazon registry link forthcoming!
