The 38th annual interfaith Thanksgiving service presented by Newark Interfaith Leaders.
The service will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 7:00 p.m. at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 525 Polly Drummond Hill Rd.
The service will feature reflections from representatives of diverse faith traditions, music, and readings. An offering will be collected for the benefit of Friendship House of Delaware.
This year’s service has a theme of “Struggle, Solidarity, and Hope” a reference to our acknowledgement that there are many who suffer in these days and that our gratitude at Thanksgiving should flow from our solidarity with the suffering and the hope that flows from it..
Singers are invited to join the community choir which will rehearse performance pieces at 6:00 p.m. before the service.
There will be a reception following the service, and guests are invited to bring something to contribute. Please try to include an ingredient list for those with allergies or religious restrictions.
