SCHOOL DAZE is coming home to Newark 1st Stage!
Join us for a screening of Spike Lee’s iconic musical comedy-drama, presented in partnership with the Newark Black Film Festival.
Guests are encouraged to come dressed in their favourite 1980s looks inspired by the world of Spike Lee for our throwback Costume Contest. Winner will receive a special prize package including two invitations to events connected to our month-long October Africa on Stage celebration.
This one’s extra special — Newark Symphony Hall has been a home for the Newark Black Film Festival since its earliest years, helping bring Black cinema straight to our community since 1974. Can’t wait to celebrate that legacy with everyone! 🖤
