ABOUT:
The Routeburn Track is a walk through the incredible Fiordland and Mt Aspiring National Parks.
While the Routeburn Track may be one of the shorter multi-day hikes available in New Zealand, it definitely has some of the most spectacular scenery.
With soaring mountain peaks, ancient forests, beautiful waterfalls and crystal clear lakes and streams the Routeburn Track is truly such a magical adventure!
Though the track is only 32km one way, it definitely still has plenty of elevation to make it challenging. The highest point of the track is 1255 metres above sea level and the views are truly spectacular.
The hiking part of this retreat will take 2 night/3 days to complete and we will camp every night in well appointed and warm Routeburn huts along the way.
This hike though spectacular is certainly not a hike you can just jump in on with no preparation. The hike is grade 4 hiking track and add the multiple days of hiking carrying all equipment you can be guaranteed you will be tested physically mentally and emotionally on this journey. Some sections of the track are long, rough, steep and exposed. Also being an alpine region you can quite literally experience four seasons in one day, even including snow! This is why as part of this journey you will guided every step of the way and we will help you prepare over a 6 - 12 month period for this epic adventure.
Along the journey we will have opportunities to drop in along the trail for meditation sessions, Breathwork sessions as well as yoga and share circles at the end of each day.
This retreat is delivered in an organised, yet layback style where the aim is to cultivate heartfelt connections and test yourself physically mentally emotionally and spiritually like never before.
You will also have everything taken care of for you including your transport, accommodation and meals. You have to worry about is being totally present in the experience.

The track then descends and traverses along the exposed Hollyford Face, with expansive views over the Darran Mountains. This section of the track is well-known for its impressive array of alpine plants.
A steady descent leads to Lake Mackenzie Hut, set beside the enchanting Lake Mackenzie. We will then stop for lunch here.
Leaving Lake Mackenzie Hut, the track crosses a small flat before climbing to the bushline. A gradual descent then leads past the 'Orchard', an open grassy area dotted with ribbonwood trees, to the impressive Earland Falls.
