About this Event

New York Power Circle: On the Ground: Canvassing, Field Work, and Building
This October, we're kicking off the Week of Action in NY-13, juntos.
In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, we're bringing neighbors, organizers and community members together for an afternoon of getting grounded, getting to know each other and getting out into the neighborhood.

We'll start with a short breathing exercise to ground ourselves and set our intentions for the day. From there, we’ll gather for introductions – Whether you've been organizing for years or this is your first time canvassing, this is a place for you.

We’ll be joined by a Special Guest, who will share their experience organizing in the field.

Then, we'll hit the streets! We’ll canvass throughout the neighborhood, engage with the community, listen to their experiences, share information, and encourage our neighbors to get out and get involved.

And after we get back, we’ll keep the good energy going with a social! From 3 to 5pm, come relax, meet new people, celebrate our community, and continue the conversations we started in the field.

Can’t make the canvass? ¡No se preocupe! Join us for the social anyway.

Come solo or bring your crew, just be sure to sign everyone up.

This event is happening during Poderista's Week of Action, https://poderistas.com/action/
Space is limited.
