Let's kick off those New Year's resolutions while exploring the Amerson River Park expansion! Join Bike Walk Macon and Walk with a Doc on Saturday, January 3, 2026, for a slow-paced stroll along the Ocmulgee Heritage Trail as we explore the park’s new north-end extension.
DETAILS:
Registration is at Amerson River Park at 8:45 AM, and the walk will begin at 9:00 AM. This event is free - just wear comfortable shoes and bring a water bottle.
Walk with a Doc meets every first Saturday and welcomes anyone looking to take steps toward a healthier lifestyle. You’ll hear quick health tips from a provider, then enjoy walking and conversation. It’s a great way to get out and be active each month.
DIRECTIONS:
Meet at Amerson River Park at 2600 Riverview Road. We will be set up at the AGL Pavilion right next to the playground. Once you have entered the park, you will come to a roundabout. Proceed through the roundabout to the second exit. The second exit will lead you to the great lawn. Take the next right, and you will see the pavilion on your left.
