recordBar and Kosmic City present :Spend New Year's Eve with us at recordBar as we pay tribute to the infamous Manchester, England nightclub, The Hacienda.
The Hacienda was a legendary nightclub in Manchester, run by Factory Records, that was central to the late 1980s and early 1990s "Madchester" music and rave scene. Opened in 1982 in a former yacht showroom, the club, designated FAC 51 in the Factory catalog, featured performances by artists like Madonna, New Order, and Oasis and is considered a cultural icon that influenced nightlife and youth culture. It eventually closed in 1997.
To celebrate the Manchester music scene we will have performances from :
Regret, a New Order tribute band featuring members of Monta, Elska and In the Back of a Black Car create a spot on non-stop electro dance party that covers the many eras of Manchester's favorite band.
Kansas City's punk-jazz art-core project, Men of Men (featuring members of The People's Liberation Big Band, The Band that Fell to Earth, The Like, Dan Jones & the Squids and Season to Risk) are known for their wild strange bedfellows sets of cover songs. For this New Year's Eve set they've curated a basher of tunes from Factory Records' roster and Manchester's best, Joy Division, The Smiths, Buzzcocks, The Fall and A Certain Ratio.
Boss Hooligan Soundsystem will keep the 80's retro new wave and post-punk beats going all night before and between the live music and into 2026!
