All Welcome to come to the First Day Fishing event hosted by Schuylkill Haven Recreation Department and Schuylkill Headwaters Association. Bait, Spin, or Fly Fish the Schuylkill River at Schuylkill Haven Island Park. Register at the Pavillion at the Park. Trout stocking at 11 am, fishing from 10 am to 2 pm. $10.00 donation includes food, refreshments, and registration. 3 Trout Daily Limit. Current (2026) PA Fishing License and Trout Stamp Necessary.
