A wonderful trip on the first weekend of 2026 in the beautiful North West Coast of Wales! On Saturday 3rd January we meet in the lovely small coastal town of Criccieth on the Llyn Peninsula and do a stunning coastal walk for approx. 3hrs including Criccieth Castle and along to the incredible Black Rock Sands beach overlooking Tremadog Bay. We then head to Porthmadog just a long the coast and stay overnight at the Premier Inn.
On Sunday we head down the coast to the beautiful seaside town of Barmouth and do a longer hike (approx. 5.5hrs in total) that includes hills overlooking the town and then walking along the famous estuary railway bridge, across the Welsh Coast Path to Fairbourne and then up to the impressive Blue Lake before returning back to the start.
