Our program simply would not exist without volunteers. Every smile from a rider, every moment of confidence gained in the saddle, and every magical memory created at the farm happens because someone chose to give their time.
Volunteers are the heart of our therapeutic horseback riding program. By helping lead horses, support riders, assist with activities, or lend a hand around the farm, you become part of something truly meaningful. For many of our participants, time with the horses is more than just a lesson. It’s a chance to build confidence, experience independence, and feel a sense of accomplishment in a safe and encouraging environment.
One of the best parts? No horse experience is necessary.
We provide training and orientation to teach you everything you need to know. What matters most is a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a desire to help others.
Volunteer opportunities may include:
• Assisting during therapeutic riding lessons by helping lead horses or sidewalk alongside riders
• Supporting participants and helping create a safe, encouraging atmosphere in the arena
• Helping with youth groups and community visits to the farm
• Assisting during special events and fundraisers
• Helping with barn tasks and farm projects that keep our horses happy and healthy
Whether you can volunteer regularly or just occasionally, your time makes a real impact. Our riders depend on volunteers to help make each session possible, and the connections formed at the farm are something truly special.
