About this Event
Welcome to the New Volunteer Orientation & Training 2026!

Time: 8:30 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.
Location: Kerr McGree Community Center - 100 W California Avenue, Ridgecrest CA
TURN COMPASSION INTO ACTION! CCADT is seeking to build a volunteer team in Ridgecrest to assist with emergency animal sheltering for small and large animals.
Join CCADT's Kern County Leaders for an in-person disaster response training focused on emergency sheltering for our communities' pets when they need us most. This comprehensive orientation will equip you with the knowledge, protocols, and practical skills required to support animal sheltering operations during emergencies/disasters.
Whether you’re brand new to disaster response or an experienced volunteer looking to deepen your impact, this session will prepare you to serve in the communities that rely on us. You’ll meet our leadership and response team, gain insight into our mission and shelter operations, and learn how your time and talents can save lives.
If you’re ready to turn compassion into action, we invite you to train with us and become part of a team that shows up when it matters most.
