No experienced needed!
JOIN US for our New Skater Intake! Skaters and Referees wanted!
Dorset Roller Derby’s New Skater Intake will introduce you to the game, whilst also helping you to skate better from coaches with decades of experience.
We are a community based league, welcoming all genders and aiming to be an inclusive, positive space for everyone. So if you're over 18 and based in Dorset or the surrounding area - come along!
Sessions are every Thursday, between 20:00 and 22:00.
You will need to arrive 30 minutes early to make sure you are kitted up and ready to skate at 20:00.
We are offering 2 taster sessions free! Then course fees are £28 per month after.
What do I need?
- Quad roller skates with hard indoor wheels (around 92a or above)
- Helmet
- Knee pads (the more heavy duty, the better!)
- Elbow pads
- Wrist guards
- Gum shield (Sisu Ultralight are most commonly used)(Needed later in the programme when we start contact)
We highly recommend you have your own derby skates as these will be best for comfort for your size and for aiding in learning all the new skills we teach. However, we do have limited skates and pads available to borrow, please contact us should you need to do this.
