Join Ancient Root Taiji for a new session focused on learning and refining the 18 Essence Form of Chen Taiji. This form offers a clear and accessible introduction to the foundations of Chen-style Taijiquan, including posture, balance, breath, spiraling movement, and relaxed power.
Throughout the session, we will work progressively through the movements of the form, using standing practice, silk reeling exercises, and focused corrections to help students build confidence and understanding. Rather than simply memorizing choreography, we will explore how each posture connects to the next, developing the smooth transitions, grounded body mechanics, and internal awareness that give Taiji its depth.
This session is suitable for beginners, returning students, and continuing practitioners who want to strengthen their foundation. No prior experience is required—just a willingness to learn, practice, and grow at a steady pace.
