DEVILS TEETH are coming to Madison 🦷🦷 Join us on July 2nd at 6pm at the Rigby for an evening of jamming out to raise money for the Dane County Homeless Justice Initiative.
Sliding donation scale for entry: $5 to $25. 100% of donations will be used to purchase supplies for our unhoused neighbors. Get your ticket at the door or in advance by sending a Venmo to @DCHJI with the title: TEETH.
https://account.venmo.com/u/dchji
Featuring live music from Devils Teeth (surf rock), Hospitality Suite (pop-punk), Cathouse Dandies (anti-folk), and Noah’s Jazz Group. Volunteers from the Homeless Justice Initiative will be around to share information on how to get involved, and to collect supply donations.
Donations are urgently needed now because the new Madison men's shelter will open this summer with a capacity of 250, while 400 people are served at the current shelter which will close. This means there will be ~150 unhoused people with NOWHERE TO GO, not including people who are already sleeping outside. While systemic solutions are needed to end this housing crisis, in the short-term, we need to come together to help our vulnerable neighbors who are forced to camp outside. Please donate what you can: $5 covers a pack of tampons or deodorant, $25 covers a 2-person tent.
See you soon ✊
