Interested in learning story quilting? Join us for a New Quilters Orientation for Thread by Thread: Reframing Black Stories Through Story Quilts. This session will introduce participants to the project, basic quilting techniques, and the history of story quilting as a tool for memory, culture, and resilience.
We’ll also walk through what to expect during the upcoming workshops. No prior quilting experience is required, and first-time quilters are especially welcome.
The project is made possible by Healing Illinois, a statewide racial healing initiative. The project is free and open to the public.
