New Orleans Mission Trip- Summer 2026

For several summers we have had the privilege of engaging in missions in New Orleans, Louisiana, with multiple churches. Our students joined members of these churches to host outreach nights, share the Gospel at nearby parks, feed the homeless, and beautify the city. We have seen people surrender their lives to Christ and have helped develop hundreds of connections for future ministry in surrounding communities. This year from July 20 to July 25, we have the opportunity to return to New Orleans to partner with a variety of churches and ministries in the city.

We will have the privilege to promote the Gospel endeavors of the church to the nearby community through a variety of strategic ministries. We hope you will join us this summer in making much of Jesus Christ among the nations in New Orleans!

Where will we be staying?

This year, we will be staying at a nearby church, Williams Boulevard Baptist Church (we have stayed here several years in the past). It is located at 3000 Williams Blvd., Kenner, LA 70065. It is furnished with bunk beds. It includes separate showers, a full-service kitchen, and a gym.

How much will the trip cost and when is payment due?

The trip cost is $360 per student. This is the cost before fundraising. This price will cover required resources, travel, lodging, most food, supplies, and gas. A non-refundable deposit of $75 is due on June 14. You also must register by this date. To secure your spot, you need to pay the deposit, as space is limited. The rest of the payment is due by July 12. Each student will need an additional $75-$100 to pay for meals (One meal on the trip to NOLA, one meal on the trip back to Lexington, and one meal out when we tour the city). Students may also bring additional $ for souvenirs if they wish.

Are there any requirements for going on the trip?

This year, the NOLA mission trip is open to rising Veritas 8th graders (who have just completed their 7th grade year) through Veritas seniors who just completed their senior year. Participants must also be age 12 or older. Also, space is LIMITED. If you would like to attend this year, sign up ASAP. To secure your spot, you need to pay the deposit.

Each student must work to become familiar with the “3 Circles” evangelism tract. Be prepared to share the Gospel using this tool. Students need to be able to clearly, verbally explain the Gospel using this tract prior to our departure. A key ministry of the trip is sharing the Gospel to other people in NOLA. When will we be leaving and returning?

We will be departing from Ashland early on Monday morning, July 20. We will plan to return to Lexington on Saturday, July 26 in the afternoon/evening.
