Dam Ru:
Dam Ru began as the solo project of Stirling-based musician Jamie Alexander but has since evolved into a five-piece group, featuring live electronics, saxophone and 2 drummers adding a percussive power to the sound. The lineup cemented its status following live shows at The Old Hairdresser and Leith Depot last year, transforming Dam Ru from a studio concept into a formidable live collective.
Saint October (TMPZ009) is the debut album – released on cassette and digital via Temporize in 2023. Recorded over four years, Saint October is an attempt at transcendence through sound, delving deep into the subconscious to the world within worlds.Now writing new material as a group and gearing up for a series of live shows in 2026, Dam Ru is also available for DJ sets.
