About this Event
New Mum Neck, Shoulder Pain & Headaches: The Feeding / Holding / Nervous
If your neck and shoulders feel constantly tight, or you’re getting headaches since having your baby, you’re not alone, and you’re not doing anything wrong! This free, calm, practical session is designed for postpartum mums who are carrying a lot (physically and mentally).
Naomi will explain why these aches are so common in the postpartum season, how stress and a “switched on” nervous system can amplify tension, and what you can change (gently and realistically) to feel more comfortable. You’ll go home with simple feeding and holding set-up tweaks, plus a few easy exercises and regulation tools to support your journey.
Babies welcome.
About this event:
In the early months of motherhood, your body is doing repetitive, one-sided tasks (feeding, holding, rocking, lifting car seats) often on very little sleep. Add the mental load and the constant alertness of caring for a baby, and it’s incredibly common for this to show up as:
- Neck and shoulder tightness
- Upper back tension
- Headaches
- Jaw clenching
- Feeling “stuck” on one side
- Feeling wired-but-tired
This session is designed to be supportive, non-judgmental, and practical. No “perfect posture” pressure here!
