✹ Join Rachael and Christina on the New Moon for a beautiful trilogy of cacao, ecstatic dance and sound healing! ✹We will open the space by gathering in circle with the heart-opening medicine of cacao, then flow into a deep ecstatic dance and come back to land with an hour-long sound healing journey led by Christina.

WHAT TO EXPECT?
*Cacao Circle*
To open the space we will spend time sitting with and receiving the delicious warming nourishment and medicine of Cacao, helping us to connect to the earth of our bodies + the presence of our hearts. This wonderful plant has been working with humans to inspire harmony, encourage connection, illuminate wisdom + uplift our spirits for thousands of years. Working with her intentionally and respectfully, she becomes the perfect ally to bring into our dance. Not only will drinking this sacred plant bring you energy to move with, but she’ll also potentialise your intentions and work on the subtle layers of energy within you to bring healing, love and kindness to whatever it is that you’re moving with in your life right now.
There are some contraindications to drinking Cacao - if you are currently taking anti-depressants or experiencing low blood pressure, please get in touch to discuss a dose that will best support you.
*Ecstatic Dance*
Ecstatic Dance is a free-form movement meditation allowing you to drop deeply into your body and respond instinctively to the music. We will go on a magic carpet ride of ambient, euphoric and soul-stirring world beats. Rachael’s ecstatic dances are free-moving, non-judgemental spaces for you to fully express yourself in the present moment, whatever that looks like for your body - you do not have to move in a particular way or in a particular rhythm... You do YOU!. Rachael is passionate about creating a space where everyone can feel at ease dancing consciously and messily!
*Sound Healing*
Sound therapy has been used as a healing tool for thousands of years. It aids stress reduction by breaking up emotional blockages within the body and eases you into a state of meditation.
Christina's soundscapes create a progressive journey to allow for energetic shifts and offer you a deeper sense of calm. Using breathwork, gongs, singing bowls, vocal and percussion, the frequencies promote healing throughout the entire body and mind.
Sound healing allows for:
Relaxation of the body and mind
Clearing of energetic and physical blockages
Relaxation of the nervous system
A sense of calm
Lowered blood pressure
Improved sleep
A deep state of meditation
WHAT TO BRING / WEAR?
- Comfortable clothes + layers - you might get warm during the dance but the church is a big old building so bring cosy things for when we are still. Your body temperature will probably drop during the sound healing session.
- Yoga mat / sheepskin to lie on, pillows, eye bag… all the comfy cosy things!
- Water bottle
- Journal + pen
