After many years of gathering for Full Moon Kirtan, something new is arising!🌑 New Moon Bhakti Circle: Roots & Reflection
Exploring the roots of bhakti across traditions
We’re beginning a (mostly) monthly New Moon gathering. Our intention is to share an intimate space for chanting, reflection, and shared exploration of devotion across traditions.
Full Moon Kirtan has been centered around nama kirtan, with little to no teaching. This new circle will open space for study, reading, connection, conversations, and questions.
Just like Full Moon Kirtan, this space will be held in a spirit of respect, free from sectarian debate. At the same time, we’ll explore how different traditions approach bhakti, drawing from sacred texts and the teachings of various sages and teachers.
Each gathering will include:
• Chanting (kirtan or other mantra-based practices)
• A short group reading
• Reflection and shared discussion
For the rest of 2026, we will be rotating between The LightHouse Center in Whitmore Lake and Spiral Chi Center in Ypsilanti, meeting most months throughout the year, but not all due to schedules.
This event is for people who want to learn about the various traditions of Bhakti Yoga with love and respect, whether you are deeply rooted in a path or new and exploring.
No experience needed.
Come as you are.
This event is facilitated by Rev. Trevor Chaitanya
