The best the New Forest has to offer
About this Event

There is a place that you have been asking to visit for a long time and this is the time to do it! THE NEW FOREST, and what a place to discover. We have done bits of its western edge in the Lymington hike but as for this brand new one, you will see the most astonishing parts of this famous national park while being surrounded by wild horses and deer, purple heather, romantic lakes and very, very ancient woodlands... Yes the new forest isn't that new, at all actually, as it is one of the eldest forests in Britain. Its early years dates before the Bronze age, all the way through Roman history; You can still find some old Roman roads. Firstly known as Ytene, the land of the Jutes and was given its current name by no other than William the conqueror, the first King of England who had rebaptised this magnificent place 'Nova Foresta' and claimed it as his private hunting grounds. It also have one of the highest concentrations of ancient trees in the Whole of Western Europe making it one of the most beautiful on the continent.

The region is filled with herds and herds of horses and ponies and deer that room free around this 220 square miles nature reserve also home to an awesome array of wildlife. They have shaped these landscapes for centuries all the way to the coast of the Solent.

We will begin our trip in what probably is Hampshire's most stunning village, Beaulieu. from the French, 'beautiful place' and WHAT A PLACE. Nested between the estuary of the Solent River and the heath and forests of the national park. In 2020, it was named the fifth most beautiful village in the UK and Ireland.

The area is also known for its famous inhabitants, Alice Lyddell, who inspired Lewis Carol for his most famous book, Alice in Wonderland lived there so did Arthur Conan Doyle, the creator and writer of Sherlock Holmes...
This trip will be an amazing day out filled with magnificent landscapes, photo opportunities, nature, history and laugher in a famous national park.
So come and join us for this gorgeous trip and disconnect with the city to reconnect with mother nature and your good old Mama Jon...
