On the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend in New London, the sun will set at 8:11. The doors to the Kitchen Gallery in the Duarte Building in New London will open at 6:45, and 13 people can enter the gallery and get comfortable. Feel free to bring a yoga mat and lie down! Around 7, we will surround you with sound as the sun sets. We don't know too much about sound healing, but we know that improvising ambient music makes our collective shoulders soften and our psyches more accepting of uncertainty. Join us if you're looking for some of that--or if you just like our sounds and want to sink into them more deeply in a more close-up situation.
We usually play for free or for free-will contributions, but we're charging $25 for this one because it's special and also so we can share half with the venue and use the rest to start seeking more out-of-town gigs knowing that we can cover some of our travel.
Capacity is limited to 13 to make sure everyone can be comfortable enough to get in the zone. Register through the Google Form at the "Tickets link"near the time and location info. (Sorry for the clunky ticket-purchase method this time around. We're not a 501(c)3 and would rather spend free-will donations on stuff like bells and cables than on fees to use a ticketing service. We'll figure out something better next time. We're only doing it this way because of the limiting factor of space where we'll be. Thank you for understanding.)
