Shawn & Sally Weimer will be playing a wide variety of songs, with Shawn on vocals and guitar and Sally on the keyboard. They have both been playing music since they were children. Shawn started on the accordion, then drums and guitar. Sally began classical piano at the age of five and switched to the keyboard around 15 years ago.They have played in several bands together over the years, but were always too busy with their careers or children to pursue it professionally. Now, they dedicate a large amount of time to playing music together as a newly formed duo and with their six-piece band, The Smokin' Ocotillos.
You may have heard of Shawn and Sally if you followed the art scene in North County. Shawn used to own Zoe Guitars in Oceanside, where he built handmade, custom acoustic guitars for several years. Sally created artisan pottery in the same shop under the name Oceanside Ceramics. They attended many art shows together under the name Timber, Love & Clay - combining their two crafts. Even though both businesses are closed and the Weimers are "retired," you can still visit their Facebook pages to see more about them.
