Beginner Salsa with Jose
Spice up your dance journey and step into the world of salsa! This beginner-friendly class is designed to help you build a solid foundation with confidence, rhythm, and fun. Perfect for first-timers and those looking to refine their basics.
What to Expect:
* Guided warm-up and body mechanics to develop fluidity and control
* Solo footwork and styling (aka "shines")
* Lead & follow technique to build strong partner connection
* Progressive partner work combos (no partner required!)
* Musicality, timing, and technique to help you feel the dance
* Supportive, empowering atmosphere that celebrates individuality
What to Bring/Wear:
* Comfortable dance/gym clothes that let you move
* Dance shoes with suede or leather soles (2.5–3” heel recommended if wearing heels)
* Water bottle, sweat towel, and your personal flair
Salsa Level 2 with Dee
Already got your basic steps down? Salsa Level 2 is for dancers who are comfortable with the fundamentals and looking to elevate their skills with more intricate patterns, musicality, and styling.
In This Class You’ll Learn:
* Intermediate shines and footwork variations
* Body isolations, styling, and freestyle confidence
* More complex partner work with turn patterns and connection drills
* Musical phrasing, rhythm play, and transitions
* Group choreography and combinations that challenge and inspire
Recommended For:�Students who have completed a beginner salsa series or equivalent experience. If you're unsure, reach out—we’ll help place you!
What to Bring/Wear:
* Dance shoes or heels that allow you to turn and slide easily (2.5–4” heel recommended)
* Comfortable dancewear that shows off your style
* Water, towel, and your full showgirl (or showboy) energy
