Basic Bitchcraft | 2-Hour Class
Before tarot had structure, before systems had rules, there were whispers… symbols… stories passed through image and intuition. Oracle cards are one of the oldest and most fluid forms of divination, rooted in myth, psychology, spirit communication, and personal gnosis.
In Essence of the Oracle, we explore oracle card reading as both an intuitive art and a reflective practice. This class is designed to help you build trust in your own inner voice while learning how oracle decks act as mirrors for the subconscious, spirit allies, and the unseen threads shaping our lives.
Oracle cards do not demand memorization or rigid meanings. Instead, they invite relationship. They respond to the reader’s energy, lived experience, and willingness to listen.
This class is less about “predicting the future” and more about learning how to interpret symbol, story, and sensation… and how to translate those messages clearly and ethically.
What We’ll Explore Together
• What Oracle Cards Are (and Aren’t)
We’ll talk about how oracle decks differ from tarot, why they’re often more accessible, and why their lack of structure is actually their greatest strength.
• A Brief History of Oracle Systems
From ancient augury and symbolic divination to modern oracle decks rooted in psychology, mythology, and spiritual archetypes, we’ll ground this practice in context rather than fluff.
• Choosing and Bonding with an Oracle Deck
How to select a deck that speaks to you, how to cleanse or consecrate it (or not), and how to build an intuitive relationship without overthinking the process.
• Reading Beyond the Guidebook
Learning how to move past printed meanings and into intuitive interpretation using imagery, emotion, body sensation, and energetic response.
• Asking Better Questions
Why oracle cards respond best to open-ended, reflective questions, and how phrasing shapes the clarity of the message you receive.
• Simple Oracle Spreads
We’ll work with a few accessible spreads you can use for daily guidance, self-reflection, and readings for others.
• Ethics, Boundaries, and Responsibility
Oracle reading is not therapy or fortune-telling. We’ll cover energetic boundaries, personal responsibility, and how to read with integrity, compassion, and clarity.
Hands-On Practice
This is not a sit-and-listen class. You’ll be working with cards, practicing pulls, interpreting imagery, and learning to trust what comes through… even when it feels subtle.
You are welcome to bring your own oracle deck. A small selection will also be available for practice.
