After select cinema showings, the Varsity will host various comedy offerings such as stand-up and improv immediately after the film screening.

On Friday, April 18, the first After Credits Comedy event will welcome some of the strongest performers of the latest generation of comedians in Southern Illinois.

ASHLEY TWOGOOD has established herself as the queen of the Southern Illinois comedy scene, regularly besting dozens of fellow comedians to earn opening spots for touring comedians traveling through the area. DAN ALCORN is an agent of chaos whose intricate stories pull audiences forward before throwing them back into their seats laughing. TOM KREMMER is a man with as many jokes as he has names. Tim Kramer, Todd Kreamer, Thad Krueger … you get it. STEVE ‘WILDMAN’ WEICH is a high-energy comedian who is as tall as he is funny, and, rest assured, he’s pretty freaking tall. DAVID KIRK is Southern Illinois’ soon-to-be comedy grandpa. You know him. You love him. If you don’t know him or love him, you will after this show.

Doors and the Varsity Bar open at 8:30 p.m., with the comedy show starting at 9:30.

Tickets are $10 in advance here on Eventbrite or $15 at the door on the night of the show.
