The start of the new school year is the perfect time to try something new...
So why not try Modern Blues!
This workshop is designed to ease the transition from Modern Jive into Blues. Bite-size, easy-to-handle chunks delivered in a safe, friendly and encouraging environment. Aimed at anyone who would like to give Blues a try, but may not be ready to dive headlong into a Blues room yet.
Or... you might have been enjoying Modern Blues for a while, and you want to make sure you are getting all of the fundamentals right, so that you can continue to enjoy and make progress in your dance.
Or... you might have been out of dance, or dancing Blues for a while - and you're looking for a refresher.
We will give you a good, solid foundation in aspects of Blues such as technique, musicality, styling and how to bring what you already have into the Blues room... We'll show you that Blues is not invasive, or intimidating. It is a music-led, lead & follow dance, that is led from frame and has a strong emphasis on respecting personal space and boundaries.
And we're going to do all of this in one session!
