A half day course to empower your business or organisation to harness the opportunities to recruit and employ people with neurodivergence. Breaking down barriers and creating a more embracing workforce environment for all- this course will enable your organization to value the benefits of becoming meaningfully and successfully inclusive. Covering the areas of recruitment and retention, reasonable adjustments in the workplace, and the organisational advantages of ‘across the board’ recruitment.

Advancements for quality of life for people with neurodivergence to engage more meaningfully in their communities have been gradually increasing over the last thirty years- although there is still a long way to go to achieve full equality, acceptence and inclusion.

There is one area in particular that is now ready to be fully supported and advocated for- gainful and sustained employment opportunities.

This course has been designed to encourage businesses and organisations- both small and large- to harness the untapped potential of employing people with neurodivergence

Using examples of good practise existing both locally and internationally, and providing practical and achievable means of advancement- this course will inspire you to embrace the wonderful opportunity ahead of you- to become an instigator of true and meaningful change within your communities.

This course is aimed at any business or organisation- small or large- that is aiming to become a more inclusive workforce and would like to develop the tools to become one.

The course will be held at Project 21 on Greenfield Road.

Simply turn off the Main Grandstand road as though you were heading towards UCM, and Project 21 is the first turning on the right. Tea & Coffee will be available.

With thirty years experience working in the fields of neurodivergence, autism and learning disabilities, Andy Hodkin brings his experience, skills and knowledge to this course.

Having been a consistent advocate and supporter of employment opportunities for adults with additional needs, Andy has been instrumental in developing and supporting opportunity schemes in the UK. In 2012 he received the Nottingham City Council Award for 'Working Together'- recognising his work in enabling and supporting adults with disabilities to make meaningful contributions to their community.

As part of a learning disability management team that achieved five consecutive Outstanding ratings from Ofsted during his tenure, Andy is recognised as a leading advocate and shaper of disability services in the UK.

Andy has worked directly with children and adults with neurodivergence and learning disabilities for his whole career and continues to do so up to the present day.
