About this Event

An introduction to neurodivergent burnout: What is it? What helps? What does recovery look like? This is an in-person talk at the Grapevine Centre. Autistic/ ADHD burnout across the life span is probably the main disruption to occupational performance and every day activities. In the past burnout has been referred to as a "breakdown" or "nerves" but with more sensitive assessment tools, access to self assessment and information, people are more mental health and neurodivergence literate and realising they may be experiencing what is know as autistic or ADHD burnout. It is a condition increasingly acknowledged in mental health services although it does not have an official diagnostic label. It differs from depression and anxiety, although shares many similar features.
