About:
Tickets will remain open until 5th September however, we cannot guarantee you will have lunch if you register after 1st September - please book via Eventbrite.
Hosted by the Glasgow Community Food Network this event continues on conversations we hosted earlier this year around the importance of culturally-relevant food being grown locally and the positive impact it has on our food system and communities. We will hear success stories from groups providing more opportunities for people to establish a connection to place through growing food, including adaptation of crops and seeds from other countries to thrive in Glasgow's climate and the potential for these activities to contribute ample supply to Glasgow's food system. We will also discuss the need for a more simplified process for acquiring land in Glasgow to grow food and explore ways to make that system more fit for purpose.
Accessibility:
Kinning Park Complex is fully wheelchair accessible, including toilets.
There is a hearing loop - please let us know if you require this.
Kinning Park has a quiet and prayer room.
