About this Event
Join us for a special Pine Street Community Garden gathering. Nettles: Storytelling and Salve workshop is hosted by Kymberlee Stogan, Musqueam First Nation.
Together, we’ll unearth the magic of the Stinging Nettle and connect with Nature around us. This hands-on workshop will teach you how to identify, harvest, and prepare stinging nettle for culinary and medicinal purposes. Enjoy a fresh nettle and mint tea and learn the healing benefits of nettle as a salve.
- When: Saturday, September 21, from 1-2:30pm
- Where: Pine Street Community Garden along the Arbutus Greenway at West 6th Ave. and Fir St. Find us by the large shed beside Burrard Slopes Park. Limited bench seating is available, you’re welcome to bring a chair!
- Details: This event is free for all ages and open to the public. All materials will be provided.
