About this Event
Net Works: Structures of Mutuality invites us to reconsider what we discard – materials, relationships, and even parts of ourselves – and to imagine how these might be woven back into something whole. Created from reclaimed fibers, nets, and plastics, the works transform environmental waste into a powerful reflection on connection, care, and repair.
Rooted in the belief that art is both a material and social practice, the show explores the systems that hold us: structures of exchange, interdependence, and mutual support. Each piece reflects a shared process of making, from the design by Noemia Marinho to the collaborative creation with the Gleaning Project participants, each contributing an essential thread to a larger whole. What is often overlooked or discarded becomes a site of dignity, creativity, and renewed purpose.

About Gleaning Project
The Gleaning Project is a nonprofit environmental art initiative that connects artists and under-resourced individuals through collaborative artmaking, bringing healing to people and the Earth. Operating within the ecosystem of care, we offer a non-clinical ‘third place’ that supports individuals facing challenging circumstances, bridging the space between crisis intervention and long-term recovery.
Join us in celebrating the work of this year’s Gleaning Project participants and the powerful networks we create together.
