Nest56 tour

Join AIA members for a tour of Nest 56, a 56-unit affording housing project in the RiNo neighborhood of Denver.

SAR+ Architects will conduct a 20-minute introduction and overview of Nest56, 56-units units of affordable housing with wrap-around supportive services that provide youth with a stepping-stone to a thriving, independent life. We will commence from the sidewalk at 2700 Wewatta Way. From there, the tour will highlight several project spaces, including the residential lobby, service provider offices, resident floors, common areas, and a ground floor exhibition space operated by Redline Contemporary Art Center.

We will discuss how program and Denargo Market’s Urban Design District requirements drove massing and building orientation and provide insights on the project’s design drivers that seek to create a home that residents can celebrate.

Nest56 was recognized with a 2025 Mayor’s Design Award for best new construction in affordable housing. Denver Mayor Mike Johnston’s expressed how Nest56’s thoughtful, intentional design can help provide high-quality housing solutions that lift our vulnerable communities, providing a sense of place and space to foster growth and connection.
