Nerdfest is a technology showcase event hosted by the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences at the University of Waikato.
We are excited to bring you Nerdfest 2025 — a dynamic technology showcase like no other.
Get hands-on with fun interactive activities inspired by our cutting-edge research and innovative projects. From AI and robots to cyber security programming gaming LEGO and more — there's something for everyone.
This is a FREE event.
ALL ages welcome — whether you're a tech newbie a curious kid a family looking for a fun day out or a seasoned ‘techspert’ Nerdfest has something for you.
Dress up and attend in your best Halloween costume or register to attend and you'll go into the draw for awesome spot prizes on the day!
