Neon Chick Returns Home: Lighting Celebration
About this Event
Join us for a magical moment in history when Petaluma's iconic neon chick sign lights up the sky once again.
Gather in the parking lot near the sign for cake, community, and a countdown!
This special gathering celebrates the generosity of all who pitched in to restore this shining example of Americana and a glowing piece of Petaluma's agricultural and commercial heritage. Come prepared to share and hear stories associated with the sign, learn about its history, and those involved in its restoration.
There will also be an opportunity to continue supporting the Petaluma Signs Project. Souvenir t-shirts, guidebooks, and chick-themed bandanas will be available for purchase. Proceeds from sales will be placed in a maintenance fund for the sign and for future sign education and preservation efforts.
Hosted by: Petaluma Signs Project, Petalumans of Yesteryear, San Francisco Neon, and Mamie Strong
